What constitutes courage? For many, it's the simple
act of living one's life honestly and openly - the reason we
celebrate Pride in June. For others, it's the willingness to give
one's life for a higher cause. For still others, it's the ability to
envision the world as it ought to be and inspire others to help
create that world.
In this special concert, we salute all of these
people. In its feature work, "Brave Souls and Dreamers" by Robert
Seeley and Robert Espindola, we also offer a timely look at the
horror of war and the prospect of peace as reflected in the words of
visionaries and philosophers from Gandhi to Jesus to Mother Teresa.
The concert also features other voices of courage --
a guest performance by the Kardon Chorale, from the Kardon Institute
for Arts Therapy in Philadelphia, many of whose members triumph over
physical and developmental disabilities through song.
Tickets are $20 and $30. VIP tickets, which
include a pre-concert reception, are $50. Great seats are
still available so get
your tickets today!
Tickets are also
available in advance from Giovanni's Room, 12th & Pine
Sts. and the PHAG Shop, 1225 Walnut St. ($50 VIP tickets are only
available online.)
Discount parking is available for $6 at
the EZ Park garage on 21st St. just before (north of)
Chestnut St. on the right. This is just past the open air parking
lot, run by a different company. Have your parking ticket stamped
in the venue lobby when you come in or prior to leaving the concert,
in order to receive the discount. Please allow a little extra time
getting in and out of the garage.
The concert will be ASL interpreted for the hearing
impaired.
