Dance With Us
If you’ve been to any of our recent concerts, you’ve probably noticed that for almost all of them, several of the numbers have had 6-10 dancers perform in front of the Chorus. Dancers are integral to most performances and provide the Chorus with its distinctive flair.
About the Audition
What does an audition entail?
Auditions are held separately from singer auditions and are held as a group. Dancers will be taught a brief routine and perform this as a group.
Unlike singers, dancers re-audition at the start of rehearsals for each concert.

What should I wear?
Dancers should come dressed to dance; sneakers are recommended.
Can I dance and sing?
Many dancers are also singers, but for any individual concert, dancers will often be unable to perform as singers in part or all of that concert.
How do I sign up?
Auditions for dancers are typically held in August and January. The next round of dancer auditions will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. If you are interested in auditioning, please sign up here!

Are there membership dues?
Like singers, all dancers are volunteers and dues-paying members of the Chorus. There is assistance available for people on limited budgets; see our membership page for more information.
Why dance with PGMC?
I had the time of my life… And I owe it all to PGMC!
To be able to create space to dance, express and be validated for being my true authentic self is truly affirming! Joining this dance team I was surprised to learn so much about myself as a non-binary trans person, and how I limit myself from experiencing moments fully because I’m too focused on perfection, acceptance and judgment. This has been a journey of my own self-acceptance within a community that doesn’t always celebrate or recognize queer folk that look, act and think differently and I am so proud that I danced with the vulnerability.
